St. Honoroulangerie Decks the Halls with French Treats; Celebrates One Year Anniversary

This season spread holiday cheer with artisan bread, chocolate, and traditional French desserts from St. Honoroulangerie.

December 1, 2004 -- Master baker Dominique Geulin will offer a selection of authentic holiday favorites, including two seasonal desserts from his familys bakery in Normandy: Apple Chiboust, a pastry filled with apples baked and soaked with pommeau and topped with cream; Flan aux Abricots, baked custard topped with apricot halves, as well as a new dessert created by pastry chef Bill Raes, Caramel Nut Tarte with hazelnuts, pecans, and pistachios in caramel. If you cant decide what to give, pick up a St. Honorift card in any denomination a perfect stocking stuffer or hostess gift.

Growing up in Normandy, the holidays were filled with special breads and desserts, says Geulin. I always looked forward to helping my family prepare the seasonal Bde Noand the Christmas sweet bread. Now I can share my traditions with my customers and my own children.

- Hand-crafted Chocolat Maison: A ballotin of chocolates available exclusively at St. Honornd hand-crafted on site. The chocolates are packaged in a gold gift box and will be available throughout December. The four flavors in each box include: Truffle au Chocolate dark chocolate ganache truffle, Orangette, stick of candied orange covered in chocolate, Pralinoisette, crunchy hazelnut praline and Tuiles aux Amandes, toasted almond shingles(both available in dark and milk chocolate).
- Pain de Noel: A Christmas sweet bread with citrus flavor and nuts. Available by special order starting December 15th.
- Bde No: This traditional French Christmas cake is shaped and decorated to resemble a yule log. Available by special order starting December 15th.
- Galette des Rois: A puff pastry filled with frangipane, a blend of almond and custard cream. Available January 1-15, 2005 by special order.
